Artist’s Statement

My paintings are more vulnerable than precious, lean on straight-forward, naive imagery. I work with acrylic paints and collage materials, maybe an edgy word or two. Most of the paintings are small, indeed, I paint with a nod to our smaller homes, brevity of messages, for our complicated busy lives.

My goal is to have you the viewer feel seen, to reflect on images from life that may be messy, but always include kindness.

Please take a moment to look through the different series of paintings, and if you have a moment longer, stay for some poetry.
